We stayed quite a long time in Spain, 3 months, but did not do that much of cycling. Bine had a lot of problems with her veins of her left leg which forced us to rest for several weeks.But we also lost the motivation for travelling especially at the beginning. It had to do with the uninspiring, crowded countryside. With the fact that bush camping was nearly not possible. Also all the restrictions when having a dog in Spain did not support us in enjoying the country.It was not an easy time for us and it was for sure not the best time of our journey. But in the end, we had some nice experiences, met some nice people and cycled sometimes through really nice scenery. This gallery should show the positive things we experienced in Spain.Coming from France we cycled from San Sebastian to Burgos, Salamanca, Caceres, Ciudad Real, Valencia and then the coast up to Barcelona.The famous city also marks the endpoint of the cycling part of 3onTour after being on the road for 10.000 km and 10 months.......

France - along the Rhone-Rhein channel Initially we did not plan to cycle in France but wanted to go directly to Spain. But as we already travelled by rented cars and ferry for almost 5 days since northern Sweden, we were fed up with this. The weather was amazing and the scenery fantastic. So we cycled for a few days through France, most time along the famous Rhone-Rhein channel. We started in Freiburg im Breisgau/Germany and ended cycling in Saint Jaint de Losne. Then a rented car brought us to south-west France to Biarritz, where we started cycling again to Spain.......

Northern Sweden - Norrbottens and Västerbottens Our short ride in far northern Sweden. Entering the country at Riksgränsen we cycled through great landscape to Kiruna, Gällivare and finally Boden at the ocean. The last part was again inland under pre-winter conditions to Umea. It was great scenery (at least when the sun was shining), but very cold, windy and hard cycling. Great experience!......

Northern Norway - Troms The second and last leg in Norway on this trip. Coming from Alta we cycled along the Fjords to Tromsö, then direction of Narvik. Near Narvik we turned east and went on to the swedish border at Riksgränsen.......

Far Northern Norway - Finnmark The far northern part of Norway. Coming from Utsjoki (Finnland) we cycled to Tana, then via Ifjord to Mehamn. By Hurtigruten ship to Honnigsvag and then southbound to Alta.......

Lapland This photo section covers our route - coming from Oulu - to the most northern part of Finland. We crossed the Northern polar circle at Rovaniemi and cycled all the way through Lapland on small roads to the small town of Inari. Finally we reached the norwegian border at Utsjoki.......

Lakeland These photos give a few impressions of our first bicycle leg in Finland. Starting from the capital Helsinki we first followed the coast to the east to Porvoo and Loviisa. Then we left the ocean by heading more or less all the time north through beautiful lakeland! Passing town like Savonlinna, Varkaus and Kuopio.......

Paddling trip Linnansaari Nationalpark Impressions of our 8-day canoe trip through the stunning Linnansaari national park in the southern lake area of finland between Savonlinna and Varkaus. Together with Bines parents we paddled with 2 canoes and our camping gear one week from island to island, camping in small camps. It was an extraordinary experience!  ......

Estonia Impressions of our short but great trip through the western part of Estonia. Along the coast to Pärnu and then on heading north-west, with some great camping spots directly at the ocean. Finally to Tallinn, the final point of our route in Estonia.......

Latvia Some pictures of our trip in Latvia where we more or less covered 100% of the coast of this country. Liepaja, Ventspils, Kolka, Riga and then up north to Estonia.......

Lithuania Our bicycle trip through Lithuania. Arriving from Poland, heading to Kaunas and then crossing the country north-west until we reached the ocean near the border of Litva.......

The eastern part of Poland Some impressions of our travel through whole Poland. Crossing the border from Czech republic near Opava we cycled through heavily populated southern Poland (including Krakow) towards Ukraine. Then we turned north travelling along the Ukraine border and then along the border of Belarus, partly on the route of the "Green Velo" cycling route. Finally crossing Bialowieski national park and the eastern part of Masuria we got to the border of Lithuhania.......

A few pictures showing our start of 3onTour. Heading off from Vienna along the Danube, crossing Morava river into Slovakia, heading north to Czech Republik. Then going further north until we hit the polish border north of Opava.......
